By injecting additives, product characteristics are modified during the compounding of plastics. Absolutely precise compliance with given recipes is decisive for product quality. The specific challenge in this case was to ensure the continuous infeed of five additives into the main product stream while consistently and very accurately adhering to the DCS recipe. We produced and commissioned two identical control systems for operation in the Lorestan and Mahabd plants of Bakhtar Petrochemical Company, Iran.
